Evening all!

Tomorrow is the 31st October, which means Halloween!
This is the first year in about 4 years I've actually done anything so I'm a little bit excited!
I have work tomorrow where we're all dressing up and then I'm off to Liverpool for a well deserved night out with Lucy!

Since I'm not here tomorrow I thought I'd share a few bits with the Halloween spirit with you tonight!

First of all, I thought I'd show you my Halloween look for work:

A simple look in all honesty, some £1 Devil horns from Asda (Cheapskate I know!)
and a slightly heavier version of my normal makeup routing, because simplicity is sometimes good right?

All out of my own makeup bag!

The look includes Naked 2 Eyeshadows by Urban Decay, Smashbox Studio Skin foundation in 1:1 shade (I'm pale.) - Smashbox powder contour kit, smashbox brows and then Rimmel eyeliner and lipstick, finally benefit boing concealer and Benefit roller lash mascara.
(If you look up all these products, yep, they're pretty expensive... but I've worked hard in order to gain them!)

Along the other Halloween festivities, every year I carve a pumpkin for a bit of fun! Last year I did the Simba drawing that Rafiki does from the Lion King, this year I carried on the Disney theme and somehow managed to produce this:
I really hope you can tell that is supposed to be infact the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, but I was quite impressed overall!

Hope you're all doing something fun this halloween!
A short but sweet post, but enjoy tomorrow night, I definitely will be.

Until next time,

Happy Sunday everyone!

Tonight's post is a little review on some products and collaborations I've done recently!
First of all, I teamed up with Infruition Water again to do a 7 day instagram takeover, and the bag company DryU.

Lets start with the Instagram takeover!

Unfortunately on one of the nights I was due to post I was having difficulty with my wifi and I just don't get 4G signal in the area I live! So here is the 6 flavours I decided to go with for my takeover!

Day 1: I went for strawberry and blueberry! This flavour has a sweet kick and gives a different twist to your water! If you're a fan of berries, you'll probably be a fan!

Day 2: I went in a sour direction with Lemon and Lime! This is really refreshing and great mid morning after breakfast!

Day 3: Lime and Blueberries - since I liked day one and two's flavours, I decided to mix up the two, it gave a sweet and sour twist but again very refreshing, great in the afternoon!

Day 4: I brought in Raspberries and I find these quite sour, so I put them together with lemons - it was a great combination, the raspberries made it quite tangy while the lemon gave it a sour kick, again it was incredibly refreshing!

Day 5: A similar take to day one, but with raspberries instead of strawberries! very similar taste, but a bit more tangy.

My final post was standard lemon water! Very simple, quick and easy to make! and its very refreshing, especially after exercise!

Go follow Infruition Water on twitter and instagram:

They release some great flavour ideas and also recipes to make your water more exciting!

They also gave me a code to get you 30% off an Infruition bottle! At the checkout enter:

Now, onto my DRYU bag!

I love love love my DRYU bag, so far I've used it for my gym gear (I should of really taken a photo with the gym gear in it but hey ho). - It's got plenty of space, I can fit my trainers, sports bra, pants, socks and top in it as well as my headphones! And best of all it's waterproof, I feared for my Beats headphones when I went out in the rain, but the bag protected them perfectly!  They come in 4 different colours (blue, pink, yellow and orange) and come in 3 different sizes ranging from small to large, I believe this is the medium one and it has loads of room! they range from £12.99 to £19.99 and you can buy one here:

For 10% off - enter dryu10off at the checkout!

Also go and follow them on twitter:

I look forward to using both my Infruition Water Bottles and my DRYU bag!

Now one final note for my blogger friends out there:

I have 2 opportunities for you! -

Number 1: My friend Sadie who is currently completing her final year in Creative Writing is putting together a magazine and is looking for bloggers to do a small piece on how they became bloggers, why you chose your blog topic and importantly your writing style and how you came to adapt it! If you're interested then drop me a line on twitter @hayley_grice !

The 2nd opportunity is a christmas themed one!
I'm looking to put together a gift guide, one which will also promote your blogs!
All you need is a selfie in a christmas jumper that I can attach your blog link to, then name 5 different gifts you think could make someone's christmas! This will be great to help those both struggling with christmas shopping and also promoting your own blog! If you're interested then drop me a line on twitter: @hayley_grice
Places on this post will be limited, so I'm going to limit it between 15-20 blogs depending on the amount of interest!

Let me know!

I have lots of great blogs planned for the coming festive period, I shall post again soon!
Until next time,

Happy Sunday everyone!

This is my first and only day of the week off so I'm making the most of it haha!
This weekend one of my best friend Lucy came back from uni so of course we've got together and decided that this whole fitness thing has slowed down a tiny bit.

(Although in the past 3 weeks I have lost half a stone (WOO) but you get me).
I've noticed that I've slipped with my food especially and things haven't been going as well as I hoped and has left me feeling a little like this:

So yesterday, Me and Lucy got together and devised an exercise/eating plan to stick to that both me and herself (and Louise)! are going to stick to in order to lose weight, tone up and get fitter - not that Lucy and Louise need to, they're both slim and beaut!

But anyway, we've come up with our little project that we call #LetsGetFit and I'm determined to stick to it!
Me and Lucy were in Costa yesterday sipping away with some Green Tea and we bought 3 "journals" for food and exercise diary's and chose someone with a similar body shape that we would like to aspire to and could potentially work towards.

Even when I was slim, I naturally had/have a bigger bum, thighs and calf's - but a smaller upper body, so I opted for the Queen B of course.

Beyonce!

Beyonce has a killer big booty and thighs, of course most of that may come from all the dancing she does, however it's something I could work with.

So, I have stuck that very photo on the front of my journal for inspiration!

Inside I'll be sticking numerous inspirational and fitness quotes throughout it every so often to keep me going, on the inner cover is this:

Further into the journal after my food/exercise tips plus rules etc, I also have these two:

I mentioned rules above... and this is very true.
Unfortunately to make us stick to it, we have the following rules to create a bit of variety and also to keep us going so here they are:

  1. Record all food that you eat, including snacks, no exceptions.
  2. Only drink water, tea, shakes (fruit or protein based) or juices (fruit or veg based).
  3. 1 Cheat meal per week (No cheat days!) and it must be on a high carb intake day
  4. Allowed 1 rest day from exercise per week to allow the body to recover.
  5. Record all exercise I do (including my Personal Training sessions).
  6. I'm allowed no more than 2 days (or nights) with alcohol per month (e.g drinking on night out or at a party etc) - After all alcohol is empty calories!
  7. Measure and weigh myself every 3 weeks and take a progress photo alongside it!
  8. You can't have two low carb days in a row or two high carb days in a row.
  9. Drink a minimum of 2.5 litres of water a day.
  10. Be sure to update Lucy and Louise via snapchat/whatsapp (This is a team effort of course!)
  11. Only eat what you can, do not force yourself to finish if you are full
  12. Aim for at least 5 out of the 6 meal suggestions
  13. Try and space meals 2.5 to 3 hours where possible
  14. x3 a week (where possible) do fasted cardio (so exercise before breakfast).
So those are our rules for #LetsGetFit

We also have an exercise programme which we're going to follow, but I have a few things in mind that I'll be doing throughout the week.

I have a Personal Training Session with Sian from Potential Fitness once a week,
I have a gym membership (so no excuses really!)
And I plan to get out on my bike and keep upping the distance I do.
Plus some home exercises for when I may not have much time (e.g before work).

I have mentioned Low, Medium and High Carb days, I struggle with carbs as they make up a lot of my diet, so we're doing something called Carb Cycling, which consists of 3 days of different variety, of course of high carb days, you have more carb intake but on lower and medium carb days, you introduce more fruit and veg.

I won't spoil it as I plan to post the meals and what not on the blog soon.

But I start tomorrow and I plan to really go hard!
I'd love your support, even if its just by reading this.
But wish me luck everyone, it's going to be tough haha!

No Pain, No Gain.

Until next time,

Evening All!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! I'm currently watching the England v Australia match in the Rugby world cup and my fingers are crossed for an England win!
But what else have I been up to? Well, this past week I had a good but tough PT session with Sian from Potential Fitness, which I'm still aching from 2 days later! You can check out her facebook page here, she's fab! Potential Fitness I've been working and also been trying to get out on my bike!

I also purchased some new gear for cycling/the gym!

First of all is my new Nike vest which I LOVE, it's so comfy and it'll go with probably any colour, I'll be using it for both the gym and cycling! - I got this for £15.00 from Sports Direct.

Also from Sports Direct, I bought these muddy fox padded cycling shorts, they're also incredibly comfy and made my ride tonight a lot easier from a comfort point of view, although they are quite short, so for the mean time, I'll be wearing some longer leggings over them until I shed a bit more off my legs! (Watch this space!).

First full body photo I've taken in a long time! - I'm starting to become more comfortable in my own skin and I'm starting to see some real differences in my fitness and shape, hoping to keep it up and see some big changes in the near future too, your continued support by reading is really appreciated, so thank you so much guys!

Also this week, I discovered the Strava app.

As you can see I managed to calculate my ride this evening, just short of 2 miles, I'm trying to ease myself into cycling and I'm hopefully working towards longer distances soon! but I felt a real burn afterwards as the route I took isn't all flat and there was some incline involved, but it's all helping in the long run! - If you have Strava follow me! I'll follow you back :)

Tomorrow morning I'm attending a body combat class with my lovely friend Heather, I'll let you know how that goes haha!

That's all for tonight, enjoy the rest of your weekend lovelies!
Until next time,
